The goal of the Career & Academic Center is to provide adult education services that empower individuals to earn their G.E.D., improve computer literacy, and receive personalized tutoring, fostering self-respect, dignity, and confidence. We are committed to supporting over 400 students annually, offering the resources and guidance necessary for their educational success and personal growth within the community.
Our goal is to provide services that make the least disruption for the children but result in the most help for the parents. We coordinate with schools to help them avoid negative consequences. We help with everything from enrollment in school or daycare to referrals to health care & other agencies.
We are dedicated to helping individuals gain the self-respect, dignity, & self-confidence necessary to thrive in their community. Through education, our students not only work toward academic success but also build a foundation for a more productive, fulfilling life, making education a key tool for positive change.
Each year, the Career & Academic Center serves over 400 students, offering more than 13,000 hours of education. With many G.E.D's earned annually, our center continues to be a place where individuals transform their lives & reach their full potential in both education & beyond.
The Crossroads Career & Academic Center graduates the equivalent of a small high school senior class every year. We utilize a back-to-basics individual approach to lesson plans. Our adult learners learn by doing.
Open to the public:
Monday – Friday
8:00am to 4:00pm
The vocational training program is designed to prepare participants to learn supervisory skills, food service skills, how to maintain proper sanitation & health conditions, office assistance, warehouse management, retail sales, & a variety of other positions. Participants learn how to work with people, live sober, productive lives, & be engaged citizens in the community. Quite often, those who complete the training get jobs in the community.
