Emergency Shelter

Our goal is to restore and preserve the dignity of human beings through the love of Jesus Christ.

Emergency Shelter:

Open 24/7, all year. Guests may stay for up to ten consecutive days each month. Longer stays are available when participating in the New Way Program.

Our goal is to restore and preserve the dignity of human beings through the love of Jesus Christ. The shelter offers people experiencing homelessness a safe environment, bed, hot meals, and access to showers and bathrooms.

The option to enter the drug and alcohol stabilization and treatment program is always presented.

Eligibility requirements:

·         Guests must be 18 years and older or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

·         A valid, non-expired, and acceptable identification must be presented.

·         Everyone is required to be sober and is given a breathalyzer at the time of bed sign-up.

·        Proof of marriage is required for couples wishing to stay at the Family Shelter together.

Additional Information:

In some cases, a urinalysis to test for drugs may also be required. The safety of all residents is a priority. Anyone who refuses to submit to testing or anyone who is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to stay at the shelters.

We also serve as a refuge for families, women, or men who are escaping an abusive environment.

Without identification, guests are only allowed one night of shelter.

Spiritual counseling, prayer, and case management services are offered to all guests.

Children at the Shelter:

Hard at work building positive memories full of love, friends, and caring staff members.

Our goal is to provide services that make the least disruption for the children but result in the most help for the parents. We coordinate with schools to help them avoid negative consequences. We help with everything from enrollment in school or daycare, to referrals to health care and other agencies.

Our case managers work with each family on a case-by-case basis to try to determine which course of action will best help the entire family. Our philosophy includes family reunification, support, functionality, and happy children.
